Your Biggest Pain in the Neck - Claims Denials: How to Reduce Them
An Event of the Behavioral Health Affordable Care Act (BHACA) Initiative
An Event of the Behavioral Health Affordable Care Act (BHACA) Initiative
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
According to the feedback you have given us, one of the major hurdles for your billing staff and the financial health of your agencies is the time and funds lost from denied claims.
Are there things you can do to reduce the number of denials you receive? MHMRA of Harris County says yes. Their staff took on this challenge and conducted a detailed analysis of reasons for denials and identification of possible patterns. And now they have offered to share the findings of that work and advice on claims submissions to our BHACA participants.
Mandie Eichenlaub shares with us lessons learned from this important MHMRA work and answers your questions about claims submission challenges.
