July Training Event: "Drugs in the World of Gen Z"
Join NBHP as we host the wonderful Maria "Alejandra" Ortiz-Caballero, LMSW from The Council on Recovery for an enriching presentation. This presentation will provide insight into what is happening in the world of adolescents regarding substance use and mental health. Participants will learn about the adolescent brain and how substance use impacts the development of their brain. In addition, the presentation will cover what substances adolescents are currently mostly using, why they use and how each substance impacts the brain differently. The main take away for the presentation will be how to engage adolescents around their use.
*Disclaimer there will be a video that includes strong language and content. Feel free to mute sound. Will be shared before playing for those who do not want to listen.
