Course 1: Fundamentals of Billing, Collecting, and Credentialing for Behavioral Health
- Date & Time: Tuesday mornings, February 17, 24, and March 3 , 9am to 11am (6 CEU Credits)
- Location: The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston—303 Jackson Hill St., Houston, TX.
- Tuition: $85 for the 6-hour course. (Free to NBHP member agency staff as a member benefit.)
- Overview: This course will provide an introduction to major issues unique to behavioral health billing, collecting, and credentialing and is intended for behavioral health professionals responsible for agency revenue management and those in administrative positions for whom these issues are important for efficient agency operation.
- Date & Time: Thursday afternoons, February 19, 26, and March 5, 3pm to 5pm (6 CEU Credits).
- Location: The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston—303 Jackson Hill St., Houston, TX.
- Tuition: $85 for the 6-hour course. (Free to NBHP member agency staff as a member benefit.)
- Overview: This is a more advanced course focused on preventing and managing claims denials. The class is intended for those with existing behavioral health billing experience or those who have completed Fundamentals.
- Content Expert: Our thanks to Mandie Eichenlaub, Esq., Director, Managed Care, at MHMRA of Harris County for advising the content of this course in collaboration with HCC faculty member Jeannie Helton.
- Date & Time: Thursday afternoons, March 26 and April 2, 3pm to 5pm (4 CEU Credits).
- Location: The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston—303 Jackson Hill St., Houston, TX.
- Tuition: $70 for the 4-hour course. (Free to NBHP member agency staff as a member benefit.)
- Overview: This is a more advanced course focused on behavioral health credentialing. The class is intended for those with existing behavioral health billing experience or those who have completed Fundamentals.
- Content Expert: Our thanks to Stephanie Gutierrez, CBCS, Counseling Office Manager and Billing Specialist at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston for advising the content of this course in collaboration with HCC faculty member Jeannie Helton.
- Date & Time: Thursday afternoons, April 16 and April 23, 3pm to 5pm (4 CEU Credits).
- Location: The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston—303 Jackson Hill St., Houston, TX.
- Tuition: $70 for the 4-hour course. (Free to NBHP member agency staff as a member benefit.)
- Overview: This is a more advanced course focused on the transition to billing with ICD-10 codes. The class is intended for those with existing behavioral health billing experience or those who have completed Fundamentals.
