ACA Conference September 10, 2012
As a first step in behavioral health provider education, the Network planned the agenda for a half-day awareness-building seminar, "The Affordable Care Act and Behavioral Health: What You Need to Know to Be Ready" on September 10, 2012. Michael Duffy, SAMSHA Regional Administrator, Region 6 provided the keynote address and his session was followed by facilitated breakout sessions on Medicaid Credentialng/Client Enrollment, Certified Electronic Health Records, Outcome Evaluation, and Integrated Health Care Partnerships. We are pleased to provide you with Mr. Duffy's powerpoint presentation, resource materials from the four breakout sessions, and after-action reports of the issues and questions raised during those discussions (coming soon). As we receive additional post-meeting information and develop further planning we will add to these contents. We also wish to thank Sandy Olson, representing the Greater Houston Coalition for Healthy Futures for coordination and logistics work and Windsor Village United Methodist Church for providing wonderful meeting space in their Kingdom Builders Center.
